CABINET MINISTERS

The Cabinet of the Kerala Ministry under the tutelage of the Left ideologues formed by a thumping majority is unique in character. It is comprised of 19 Ministers-in-Charge and the portfolios are widely distributed by virtue of their experiences and expertise.
 
They include V. S. Achuthanandan the Chief Minister a trusted Lieutenant of years and an old patriarch has adorned the center stage for the first time. With Portfolios viz. General Administration, All India Services, Planning and Economic Affairs, Science Technology and Environment, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Elections and others
 
2. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan representing Thalassery constituency and a member of CPI (M) Central Committee and State Secretariat having Portfolios include Home, Vigilance, Jails, Fire Services, , Integration, and Tourism.
3. Paloli Mohammed Kutty a veteran leader of the CPI (M) represents Ponnani constituency. Having Portfolio viz. Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations and others.
4. M. A. Baby member of the CPI (M) Central Committee and State Secretariat. His constituency is Kundara and is serving the first term in Kerala Assembly.
Portfolios include General, Collegiate and Technical Educations, Universities except Agricultural University and various others.
 
4. P.K. Gurudasan and is member of CPI (M) Central Committee and State Secretariat. CITU National Vice President since 2003. Represents Kollam constituency. His Portfolios include Labour, Employment and Training, Rehabilitation and others.
5. P.K. Sreemathi Teacher is the State Secretary of All India Democratic Women’s Association and Member, CPI (M) Central Committee. Represents Payyannor Constituency. Her Portfolio includes Health, Family Welfare, Medical Education, Social Welfare and others.
6. Dr. T. M. Thomas Isaac is Ph.D. in Economics; Economist; Political Worker represents Mararikulam constituency. His Portfolios include Finance, National Savings, Stores Purchase, Commercial Taxes, Agricultural Income Tax, State Insurance and others.
7. A. K. Balan is the present Palakkad District Secretary member CPI (M) State Committee. His Portfolios include Welfare of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes and others.
8. M. Vijayakumar  is the State Committee member and Trivandrum District Secretary of CPI (M). His Portfolios include Law, Sports and Youth Affairs, Ports and others.
9. S. Sarma is serving as State Committee Member CPI (M). His Portfolios include Fisheries, Harbour Engineering, Registration.
11. G. Sudhakaran is the State Committee Member, Alappuzha District Committee Secretary, and Secretariat Member of CPI (M). Represents Ambalapuzha. His Portfolio include Co-operation, Coir, Devaswoms
12. C. Divakaran is the member of CPI National Council and State Secretariat. Represents Karunagappally constituency. His Portfolios include Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection, Dairy Developments and others.
13. K. P. Rajendran is a CPI State Executive Committee member and Legislature Party Leader. Represents Kodungallur constituency. His Portfolios are Land Revenue, Land Reforms, Survey and Land Records, and Legal Metrology.
14.Binoy Viswam is a member of the CPI State Executive. Has been re-elected from 2006.  His Portfolios are Forest, Wild Life Protection and Housing.
15. Mullakkara Ratnakaran is the CPI State Secretariat member in charge of party’s cultural wing. Rabid Political struggler. Represents Chadayamangalam constituency. His Portfolios are Agriculture, Soil Conservation, Soil Survey and others.
16.   Mathew T. Thomas is the member of Janata Party National Committee and State Council. Represents Thiruvalla constituency. His Portfolios are Road Transport, Motor Vehicles and others.
17. T.U. Kuruvila is the Vice chairman, Kerala Congress Party. Portfolio: Public Works.
 
18.   N. K. Premachandran represents Chavara constituency. Portfolio: Irrigation, Command Area Development Authority and others.
