Mr.N Ayyappan

The District Collector is regarded as an intrinsic component of the District as well as the rural administration. When he is designated as the key member of governmentally established committee his job remains to on matters ranging from preparation of plannings and procedures, along with be in charge of dealings with all the concerned agencies and in the field of technical and administrative support to local governments.
In the prime district of Thiruvananthapuram, in Kerala, The district administration’s headquarter is at Vanchiyoor. The District Collector is Sri N Ayyappan, an IAS officer. In this district the district administration is headed by the District Collector, Sri Ayyappan. In day-to-day work six Deputy Collectors holding charges of general matters, land acquisition, revenue recovery, land reforms, housing and election assist him. The District Collector in this very district happens to retain the charge of the District Magistrate and has a team of abettors like the Additional District Magistrate (Deputy Collector, General) and the Revenue Divisional Officer. There is only one revenue division in the entire district of Thiruvananthapuram, that remains under the supervision of Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO). There are four taluks, namely, Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, Nedumangad and Chirayinkeezhu (H.Q. at Attingal), each headed by a Tahsildar.
